With over 800+ freeze and slickline wells completed to date in Saskatchewan, Benchmark Engineering remains one of the most active consultancy companies for Mining operators.
Benchmark Engineering started working with Cameco in October of 2008 when the Cigar Lake uranium mine flooded for a second time. A total of 13 wells were drilled in order to dewater and backfill the level of the mine that had the breakthrough. Hole sizes ranged from 222 mm to 444 mm. Benchmark continues to work on the development of the mine on the freeze hole drilling and completion project.
